#BBNaija: Ayo Shonaiya tenders an apology over his 'insensitive' tweet about Erica

 

Media personality, Ayo Shonaiya, has tendered an apology over his tweet about BBNaija lockdown housemates, Erica and Kiddwaya's relationship.

 

In a tweet he shared, Shonaiya stated that Erica might end up with Kiddwaya's billionaire father, Terry Waya if she gets introduced to him after the reality show.

 

In an update posted last night, Shonaiya apologized for the tweet which he described as ''insensitive''

 

His apology read

''Saturday night I posted an insensitive tweet about #EricaBBNaija that I quickly regretted & deleted after like 4mins. But ofcos concerned citizens had munched it & posted on blogs. Apologies to whomever it may have offended. This was NOT my intention. Peace in the Middle East''

 

Governor Hope Uzodimma's convoy suffered an attack on Monday August 17, while on the Governor was on his way to the 34 Attilary Brigade in Obinze, to inaugurate an officers mess built by the state government. 

 

While the hoodlums armed with guns and machetes claimed to be staff members of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) and also disclosed they were protesting non-payment of their salaries, the state government said its position that most of the protests in the state were sponsored by the opposition had been vindicated.

 

The state Commissioner of Police Isaac Akinmoyede who confirmed the arrest of 15 suspects linked to the attack, said they were arrested with one locally-made pistol, two machetes, a mask, a chain and a padlock. He also disclosed that the incident which occurred around Concord area of New Owerri, did not claim any life.

 

Akinmoyede said; 

 

“They attacked the vehicles in the convoy with a locally made pistol and machetes.

“But in the process, windscreens of some of the vehicles in the convoy were smashed and the vehicles damaged."

 

The police commissioner added that the suspects have been handed over to state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest on Sunday August 16 threw a lavish baby shower for his fiancee, Thobeka Majozi in Durban. 

 

The event was held at Nto's Boutique Hotel in La Lucia and was attended by the couple's close friends. 

 

Cassper and Thobeka are expecting their first baby on September 11. The rapper who paid his fiancee's bride price in 2019, had told Daily Sun that he is excited and can't wait to be a father for the first time in his life.

Father desperate to reunite with at least one of his children after they all left home due to his strictness

 

A man has narrated how his uncle made an attempt to reunite with his kids after they all fled home and stopped keeping in touch because of how strict he was.

 

The Twitter user said all the strict man's kids left the house immediately after they finished NYSC. None wanted to stay a moment longer because of their father's rules and how he ruled his home with an iron fist.

 

The other children moved to places far from home but the last child, a 26-year-old, moved into a house that isn't so far from where his parents live.

 

Though he is close, he only visited his parents twice in 3 years.

 

The father, who is now old, started complaining that none of his children tries to have a relationship with him, not even the one living close to home.

 

To remedy the situation, the father took "so many gifts" with him and paid his son a surprise visit. 

 

During the visit, the father and son hashed out their differences and finally made peace.

Mom facing murder and bestiality charges after having sex with her pitbull dog then hanging her young kids to death

 

A woman from Pennsylvania, Lisa Snyder is facing trial in court, after she allegedly had sex with her pit bull dog then killed her two children by hanging.

 

According to reports, Snyder, 37, was arrested last December after a lengthy investigation by police for the death of her children and for allegedly engaging in acts of bestiality with a dog.

 

Her children, eight-year-old son Conner and four-year-old daughter Brinley, were found hanging in the basement of their home last September by paramedics.

One of the paramedics who responded, Eric Bubbenmoyer, has testified before the court – describing Snyder as “very anxious, very nervous,” the paper reported.

 

The paramedics carried the children out of the basement after seeing that they weren’t able to revive them. The kids were taken by helicopter to a local hospital where they remained for a week until they were taken off life support and gave up the ghost.

 

During  investigation, police officers found Facebook messages in which Snyder gave live updates, sent photos of her sex acts with the dog and whined about the dog biting her genitals to the man she was speaking with.

“‘He’s eating my p***y daddy … He keeps moving every time the flash goes off,” the messages reportedly say.

 

Snyder has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, two counts of third degree murder, sexual intercourse with an animal and cruelty to animals -- as well as charges for endangering the welfare of children.

Snyder is scheduled to appear again in court in November. She is currently being housed in Berks County Prison without bail.

Breaking: Tribunal nullifies election of Bayelsa state governor Duoye Diri; orders INEC to conduct fresh election within 90 days

 

The Bayelsa state Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the election of the state governor, Douye Diri, and has ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election within 90 days.

 

A three-man panel of the tribunal sat this morning Monday, August 17, and ordered the nullification of the election. Two of the judges ruled in favor of the nullification while one ruled against the dismissal.

 

In a split judgment of two to one, the three-member panel ruled that the election was unlawful due to the exclusion of Action Nigeria Democratic Party (ADP) and its candidate, King George from the November 16, 2019 governorship election.

 

The Advanced Nigeria Democratic Party (ANDP) had filed a petition challenging the victory of Governor Diri in the November 19 governorship election. The party accused INEC of unlawfully excluding it's candidate, King George, from the election.

 

In its defense, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said that the party’s Deputy Governorship candidate during the November 2019 governorship election in the state was 34 years old as at the time of nomination and therefore did not qualify to contest the election.

 

ANDP however told the tribunal that its initial Deputy Governorship Candidate, David Esinkuma was duly substituted by the Party within the allowed time frame, following the notification from INEC that he’s under-age.

 

Justice Yunusa Musa who delivered the lead judgment in the petition, said that INEC has no power to disqualify any candidate and insists that the petition of the ANDP stands. Justice Musa pointed out that only a court has the power to disqualify any candidate for any election and that the petition from ANDP was filed within the 21 days which is the stipulated time for petitions to be filed.

 

He described INEC's action to exclude the ANDP from the Bayelsa Governorship Election as an illegality.

 

He thereafter nullified the election of Governor Douye Diri and ordered INEC to carry out a fresh election within 90 days. 

 

INEC is expected to include the ANDP in the forthcoming bye-election.

 

Over the weekend, the tribunal affirmed Governor Duoye's election after another political party in the state, Alliance For Democracy, claimed the deputy governor parades a forged NYSC certificate. The tribunal in dismissing the petition, stated that the petitioner failed to prove the allegations of forgery.

 

8 year old girl shot and killed at teenage birthday party

 

An eight-year-old female student at Portage Path Community Learning Center, Mikayla Pickett was shot and killed during a birthday party for a teenager last week Friday August 14, in Ohio, it has been revealed.

 

According to the Beacon Journal, who broke the news, the shooting took place in the 700 block of Roselle Avenue near Manchester Road, UK.

 

Police officers responded to reports of gunfire at the residence 11.48pm Friday and found the girl police with an apparent gunshot wound.

She was then rushed to Akron Children’s Hospital, where she later died.

 

A man, Willie Walker told the Journal he was hosting an outdoor birthday party for his 15-year-old grandson in his backyard when the shooting started.

“All hell broke out,” he said. “I don’t know what the hell happened.”

 

Walker said three or four people showed up at the property and started shooting at the partygoers.

“I don’t know know how many shells they took,” he said, referencing police who found multiple bullet casings at the scene.
A lot of them.”

Arrests have reportedly been made.

Barcelona have sacked club coach Quique Setien following the humiliating 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich last week, according to reports.

 

According to reports from Spain, club president Josep Bartomeu spoke with Spanish outlet Cadena COPE on Sunday night following a meeting with the Barca board, including Eric Abidal.

 

Bartomeu is believed to have said: "He is out," when asked about Setien's position.

 

Barcelona are yet to make an official announcement with reports saying an official announcement will be made today, Monday August 17 during a press conference.

 

Setien only replaced Ernesto Valverde in January but his failure to win LaLiga and the 8-2 Bayern Munich humiliation only quickened his sack following a public fall out with Lionel Messi this season.

55 year old Man married his daughter after he helped her torture and kill her boyfriend on valentine's day

 

A 55 year old dad, Larry McClure has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2019 murder of 38-year-old Thomas McGuire, his daughter's boyfriend on valentine's day.

 

According to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, Larry tortured and dismembered his daughter's boyfriend, then had sex with her and married her.

 

Larry McClure has been charged with first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison last week Thursday, the new report says.

 

His daughter Amanda McClure, 31, (pictured below) also confessed to killing Thomas and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. 

Larry and his daughter Amanda, along with Amanda's sister Anna Marie Choudhary, 32, of Boone, North Carolina are alleged to have murdered Thomas by striking him with a wine bottle, tying him up, injecting two vials of methamphetamine into him, and then strangling him on Valentine's Day in 2019.

 

Larry claimed it was Amanda's idea to kill Thomas and he went along with it.

 

Police found Thomas' body several months later in a shallow grave near the Skygusty residence.

 

The mother of McGuire, Karen Smith, condemned Larry at his court sentencing.

 

Speaking directly to him, she said: "You and your two kids are going straight to hell! To marry your own daughter, that’s low-down.

"In my book, all three of you need to die! You don’t deserve to be on this earth breathing.

"I’m gonna live to see you or one of your kids die before I go. Who gave y’all the right to play God?"

 

McDowell County Circuit Court Judge Ed Kornish said in court: “This was not a single violent act, it was a conscious decision.

“You tortured this man for three days before you killed him.”

 

The killing took place on February 14, 2019 at a West Virginia home they were renting out.

20-year-old woman raped to death is buried 18 months after

 Charity Ngozi Eze, the 20-year-old woman who was raped to death by unidentified persons at Imufu community, Enugu Ezike in Enugu State, has been buried 18 months after her death.

 

Ngozi was buried on Friday, August 14, in her father’s compound at Orukpa Imufu after a Requiem Mass at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

Ngozi died on March 26, 2019. She had been living with her parents at Abuja but relocated to her village in Imufu to enable her attend extramural classes for last year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, UTME.

 

She was reported to have gone for lessons that day at the Township School Ogrute, Enugu Ezike, but went missing afterwards. Her body was later found in a bush behind another Community Secondary School, Imufu, several hours after her family had declared her missing.

 

Her death angered youths in the community yet her killers have not been made to face justice.

 

The deceased’s mother, Mrs Eze, has accused the police of a lack of interest in investigating her daughter's death.

 

She alleged that the police extorted money from her family and also from the community, yet the police have not fished out her daughter's killers even after 18 months.

Speaking at her daughter's burial ceremony on Friday, August 14, she said she was pained when she saw some of the alleged suspects walking scot-free and still challenging the family even before her daughter was buried, Vanguard reports.

 

Ngozi's burial pulled a large crowd of sympathisers. Her body arrived at the church in a motorcade, accompanied by hundreds of youths in the community, clad in black attire and singing sorrowful songs to mourn her demise.

It was an emotional day for family members and the fiance of Nigerian lady, Immaculate Emife Okochu, on Monday August 17, as her body was laid to rest.
 

Immaculate was crushed to death  by a tanker on her way to work last Wednesday, August 12. Her wedding to her fiance, Lovely Etomi, was slated for October this year and they had already done their wedding introduction.

May her soul rest in peace, Amen.
